Meaning
cannot help but, can't stop oneself from
〜ないではいられない means "cannot help but…, can't stop oneself from…". It is the spoken counterpart of 〜ずにはいられない: it was so funny I couldn't help laughing; when I see someone in trouble, I can't help helping.
