Meaning
cannot help feeling, extremely
〜てならない means "cannot help feeling…, extremely…". It is used for feelings and thoughts that arise on their own: I can't help recalling my hometown; I can't shake the feeling he is lying; I'm terribly worried about my son's future.
書き言葉寄り and slightly literary; in speech てしょうがない is more common. Forms: Vて (especially 気がして, 思えて, 思い出されて), Aい + くて, Aな + で (心配で・残念で). It suits spontaneous mental states more than physical sensations.
