Meaning

〜に相違ない means "there is no doubt that X". It is the stiff, written equivalent of 〜に違いない: the speaker concludes with confidence from evidence. It appears in detective fiction, legal language, and formal reports, and sounds old-fashioned or literary in speech.

Written Japanese only: reports, novels, formal statements (犯人は内部の者に相違ない). In everyday conversation use に違いない, きっと〜だろう, or に決まっている. The set phrase 相違ありません is used in documents to certify "this is correct".
