〜を(も)顧みず

without regard for …; heedless of …; at the risk of …

N + を顧みず means acting without thinking about X, usually danger, one's own safety, family, or consequences. 顧みる is "to look back on, to consider"; 顧みず is its classical negative. Adding も (をも顧みず) stresses "even X". The act can be heroic (危険を顧みず救助) or blameworthy (家庭を顧みず).

Written, literary Japanese: news about rescues, biographies, criticism of workaholics. Typical X: 危険・命・安全・家庭・家族・自分の健康・体面. Not used in casual speech (there people say 〜も気にしないで).
