JLPT N1 tips
On the exam
- A hypothetical case + a decision ending → とあれば; an observed fact + result → とあって.
- The exam often pairs them; scan the ending for いとわない / 断れない (とあれば) versus 混雑した / 賑わった (とあって).
- とあっては ("if it is the case that… then it's a problem") is a related distractor with a negative evaluation ending.
