ないでください

"Please don't ~" (negative request).

ない-form + でください means "please don't ...": 心配しないでください "Please don't worry". It is the negative partner of てください. Build it from the ない-form (not the て-form): 使う → 使わない → 使わないでください. Casual: 〜ないで (来ないで "don't come").

Polite negative requests: asking people not to park, not to worry, not to forget, not to use phones in class. Softer than てはいけません.

   止める → 止めない + でください.
