JLPT N3 tips
On the exam
- A formal noun (発展, 普及, 成長, 訪れ) + blank + a change in the main clause = とともに (or につれて).
- If the noun is a person (家族, 仲間), につれて and にしたがって are impossible; only とともに works.
- Verb + とともに uses the dictionary form; a past form before it is a wrong option.
