JLPT N1 tips

On the exam

  • If the blank follows 涙 / 昔 / 生まれ / 居, the answer is ながらに / ながらの.
  • Choose ながらの when a noun follows, ながらに when a verb follows.
  • ながらも ("although") is a distractor: it attaches to verbs and adjectives, not to these nouns.
