Meaning
even (just) …; not even …
だに is a highly literary "even". In 想像するだに恐ろしい it means "even just imagining it is terrifying"; in 微動だにしない it means "does not even budge". It survives mainly in a handful of fixed expressions, so it is best learned as a set of phrases.
Literary and formal: novels, editorials, speeches. Never casual. The set phrases are: 想像するだに, 思うだに, 考えるだに, 微動だにしない, 一顧だにしない, 夢にだに思わない.
