Meaning
(1) "to the extent of ~", "so ~ that ~"; (2) approximate quantity (more formal than くらい); (3) 〜ほど〜はない = "nothing is as ~ as ~".
Formation
V-dict / V-ない + ほどい-adj + ほど; な-adj + な + ほどN / quantity + ほどN + ほど + N + はない (superlative)

  1. 一週間ほど休みを取りたい。

    いっしゅうかんほどやすみをとりたい。

    I'd like to take about a week off.

  2. 今日は死ぬほど疲れた。

    きょうはしぬほどつかれた。

    I'm dead tired today.

Meaning
"even going so far as to ~" — an extreme measure, usually one the speaker disapproves of.
Formation
V-て + まで + verbN + までして + verbOften with 〜たいとは思わない / 〜必要はない

  1. 借金をしてまで、車を買いたいとは思わない。

    しゃっきんをしてまで、くるまをかいたいとはおもわない。

    I don't want a car badly enough to go into debt for one.

  2. 人をだましてまで金を稼ぎたいのか。

    ひとをだましてまでかねをかせぎたいのか。

    Do you want money so much that you'd cheat people for it?
