Meaning
about …; roughly …; at most …
Xというところだ / といったところだ gives a modest, approximate estimate, usually implying "not more than that": 駅まで歩いて十分というところだ "about ten minutes' walk". It is used for amounts, durations, levels and degrees.
Both registers; conversational and written. Often with せいぜい (at most), まあ, だいたい. Also used for a state: 順調というところだ ("things are going about fine").
