Strategy notes: read these before the passage

Postcards mix three times: yesterday (きのう), now (今), and tomorrow (あした). Note the tense ending on each verb: 〜ました is past.
The writer's name is at the END of a postcard; the receiver's name is at the START. Check who is who before answering.
でも (but) introduces a contrast. Here the cold weather is contrasted with good food.

Passage

山田（やまだ）さん、こんにちは。

わたしは今（いま）、北海道（ほっかいどう）にいます。家族（かぞく）と旅行（りょこう）に来（き）ました。北海道はとても寒（さむ）いです。きのうは雪（ゆき）が降（ふ）りました。でも、食（た）べ物（もの）がおいしいです。きのうの晩（ばん）、カニを食べました。

あしたは山（やま）を見（み）に行（い）きます。木曜日（もくようび）に東京（とうきょう）へ帰（かえ）ります。おみやげを買（か）って帰りますね。
