Strategy notes: read these before the passage

Counters change with the object: 個 for small items, 本 for bottles, つ for general things. Match the counter to the item.
〜なくてもいいです means 'do not have to'. It signals something NOT on the list.
Notes often end with extra information (お金は…). One question usually targets that final sentence.
