ましょうか

"Shall I ~?" (offer to do something for the listener) / "Shall we ~?" (proposal).

ます-stem + ましょうか has two uses. (1) "Shall I ...?": offering to do something for the listener, 荷物を持ちましょうか "Shall I carry your bag?". (2) "Shall we ...?": proposing a joint action, そろそろ帰りましょうか "Shall we head home?". Answer an offer with はい、お願いします or いいえ、大丈夫です.

Offering help (opening windows, carrying luggage, calling a taxi), and gently proposing when to start or stop something.

  Without か it is a statement ("let's"); with か it asks. Compare side by side

• ませんか

  ませんか invites the listener to join; ましょうか offers your own action. Compare side by side
