Meaning
"because ~, so ~" — gives a reason; the reason clause comes first.
から after a whole clause means "because / so". The reason comes first, then から, then the result: 時間がないから、タクシーで行きましょう "There's no time, so let's take a taxi". It can follow plain or polite forms (寒いから/寒いですから). To answer a "why" question, put the reason + からです.
Giving reasons for suggestions, requests and decisions; answering どうして questions. から is direct and personal, so it is fine with friends and for commands.
