〜さえ〜ば

Meaning

"if only ~", "as long as ~" — one condition is all that is needed.

さえ isolates the one thing that matters, and the ば-clause makes it the condition. Everything else is irrelevant.

Saying that a single thing would be enough, often with a touch of regret (〜のに).

Formation

V = verb, N = noun, A = adjective.
