Do not confuse these on the exam.
- 接授授 (grant, as in 授業) also has the hand radical 扌 on the left, but the right side is 受, not 妾.
- 接妾妾 (concubine) is the right side of 接 on its own; 接 adds the hand radical 扌.
Common mistakes
- 接 is セツ, but before certain consonants it becomes せっ: 接触 せっしょく, 接待 せったい.
- 面接 (interview) is めんせつ, not めんせっ.
