Memory tip

Honorific for 言う, used about the listener or a superior — never about yourself (use 申す). It is an irregular 五段 verb: the polite form is 仰っしゃいます, not 仰っしゃります. Normal writing is おっしゃる or 仰る; the spelling 仰っしゃる is old-fashioned.
